Overview
RN, Cardiac Progressive Care at Froedtert Health — on-site at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. FTE: 0.9. Shift: 3 (12-hour) shifts, 1900–0730, every 3rd weekend rotation.
Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. Provides care to a primarily adult population and demonstrates competency in delivery of care. 3WEST Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (50 beds) cares for complex patients including Medicine Progressive Care and other MedSurg patients. RNs obtain specialized skills for this population, including ACLS trained within 1 year of RN hire. Specialties include cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology, advanced heart failure, lung/heart transplant, trans-venous pacing, mechanical circulatory support, DKA management, and patients with increased oxygen needs. 3WEST supports learning with an elevated scope of practice outside the ICU.
Qualifications & Experience Experience : Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.
Education : Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse. If non-BSN with
Licensure & Certifications : Current Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license via NLC. BLS required within 90 days of hire. ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
