The nurse practitioner (NP) in an acute care hospital collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, managing care for acutely and chronically ill patients, primarily as a hospitalist. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and collaboration, with a focus on evidence-based practice and safe, quality care. Department Summary:
The Division of Infectious Diseases aims to advance prevention and treatment through innovative research and education, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous transplant experience (at least 1 year) Key Responsibilities: Assess health status, perform physical exams, and document findings Order and interpret diagnostic tests Serve as first responder for patient status changes Manage diagnoses, complications, and formulate plans of care Prescribe interventions and perform advanced procedures as authorized Maintain communication with team, patients, and families Ensure timely, compliant documentation Engage in professional development and research activities Technical Capabilities:
Emphasizes evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement. Position Qualifications:
