Evaluate patients and participate in treatment program planning. Administer speech therapy modalities, procedures, and tests. Document accurate patient records and progress notes. Maintain appropriate contact with the referring physician and co-workers, in oral or written form. Ensure a clean and safe work environment by remaining alert to unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and taking corrective actions. Participate in departmental functions and activities as required, including in-service education, clerical tasks, and other duties to support department effectiveness. Qualifications
Two years of professional experience as a speech therapist preferred; experience with adult and child language and speech disorders and swallowing preferred. New graduates considered on an individual basis. Licensed, or eligible for licensure, by the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance. CPR certification. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly and concisely; strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles, techniques, and procedures within the scope of practice as a Speech Therapist. Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently and to function in a team environment with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families. Ability to teach techniques and procedures of speech therapy to patients and their caregivers; able to work with minimal supervision. Pay Range
$45.26 - $67.32 per hour Seniority level
