Overview Fairview is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team at both St John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. This position will primarily staff our mobile CT unit at both sites. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Performs excellent patient care

Performs examinations

Identifies relevant data from images accurately

Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs

Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

Participates in creating a culture of patient safety

Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness

Verify patient identification and documentation

Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam

Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol

Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures

Ensures patient data integrity

Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures

Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

Follows infection control guidelines

Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

Responds appropriately to emergent situations

Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances

Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

Completed all required continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure

Participates as an active team member

Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives

Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

Cleans and maintains room and supplies

Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care

Contributes to a positive work environment

Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly

Maintains a high level of competency

Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility

Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations

Required Qualifications

Understanding of current MN Dept of Health Regulations.

Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.

Previous ambulatory care experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Due to differences in scope of care, practice or services across settings, the specific experience required for this position may vary.

ARRT Radiology Tech

Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of experience in a related role

Additional certifications in Imaging

Compensation An individual’s pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
