Job Summary The Veterinary Technician 1 is responsible for assisting veterinarians in documentation, triage, and management of laboratory animal health cases. This includes daily health observations, preventive health care, environmental enrichment, and handling and restraining of laboratory animals. Assist veterinary staff in documenting and triaging animal health cases. Perform routine veterinary technical skills, including assessing and following up on animal health concerns, generating animal treatment records, and administering therapeutic measures. Conduct daily walk-throughs of animal rooms, monitor critical care animals, and participate in colony management. Maintain accurate medical records for each animal and assist in keeping inventory and stocking vet rooms. Job Qualifications Graduate of a collegiate veterinary technology program accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Training Activities or equivalent program. 0-2 years of related experience working with animals in a pre-clinical laboratory or clinical setting; experience working in a CRO with multi-species preferred. LVT license or CVT/RVT certification preferred. We offer a competitive pay range of $28.00 per hour.
