Responsibilities
Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms Laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for staff members Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring Proficiency in dental prophylaxis Qualifications
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state Associate\'s degree in Veterinary Technology Compensation and Benefits
