Senior Oncology Specialist – Lung Cancer – New Orleans, LA
Senior Oncology Specialist role focused on delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products to medical professionals, with territory management to meet sales targets. This position emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth within a values-based organization dedicated to serving patients with cancer and related diseases.
What you will do
Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
Craft effective marketing strategies to drive sales.
Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
Maintain passion for the products and sustain motivation through the full sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning to grow as a Sr. Oncology Specialist.
Use knowledge of Oncology, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related; OR
Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related; OR
High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
Oncology experience.
Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation (or related areas).
