Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Summary The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by ARRT and Department Policies and Procedures; and will demonstrate a knowledge of the human structure and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of electromagnetic and computer sciences, magnetic protection, and specialized techniques. The individual in this role is expected to be able to apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures following ARRT standards and Department Policies.
Ensure patient safety and comfort; position patients and equipment appropriately.
Maintain knowledge of MRI technology, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate imaging and reporting.
Qualifications
Required Education: Associates Degree
Required Related Experience: 18 months of experience
Required License/Registration/Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) at time of hire; Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire; MRI registry within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements: Regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds; repetitive motions; standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; sitting at a computer for extended periods; occasional work at heights or in confined spaces. Exposure to hazards including radiation, chemicals, and pathogens.
Shift Shift opportunities will be discussed during the interview process. Depending on level, employees must work a minimum of 96 to 216 hours in a 6-week period.
Per Diem Pay
Level I – 96 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $43/hour
Level II – 144 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $51/hour
Level III – 216 hours any shift / 6-week schedule = $59/hour
Level IV – 216 hours on nights / 6-week schedule = $67/hour
