Public Safety Officer, Harrington Hospital Webster Campus - 16 Hours, Days

Job Summary: Provide security for the safety and protection of Harrington Memorial Hospital's patients, staff, general public, and properties. Patrols buildings and grounds, examines doors and windows, and watches for irregularities. Responsibilities:
Provide security for the safety and protection of Harrington Memorial Hospital's patients, staff, general public, and properties. Patrol buildings and grounds, periodically. Examine doors, windows, and other points of entry to determine that they are secure. Warn violators of rule infractions and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of Hospital property. Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and other acts of suspicious instances. Assist local authorities with investigations and report all criminal acts to the Public Safety Supervisor and/or local authorities. Assist Hospital staff as required, providing protection and safety to patients or other individuals. Adhere to all general orders and special orders as directed by the Public Safety Supervisor. Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
