Job Overview
Join UMass Memorial Health as a Public Safety Officer at Harrington Hospital Webster Campus. This 32-hour position is available for evenings and nights. Responsibilities
Provide security for the safety and protection of patients, staff, and properties. PATrol buildings and grounds of Harrington Memorial Hospital. Examine doors, windows, and other points of entry to ensure they are secure. Warn violators of rule infractions and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards and security doors left unlocked. Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of hospital property. Record data such as property damage and unusual occurrences. Assist local authorities with investigations and report all criminal acts to the Public Safety Supervisor. Assist hospital staff in providing protection and safety to patients or other individuals. Requirements
Three years of related experience and/or training in military, fire, or police/public safety. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. EEO Statement
