Overview
Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty position in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric & Digital Studies at the University Center for Academic Excellence, UNC Charlotte. This is a temporary, part-time teaching role for undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Responsibilities
Develop and/or update course syllabi, prepare lectures, assignments, and projects. Teach designated class periods and maintain regularly scheduled office hours. Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner. Submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. Qualifications
Faculty teaching undergraduate courses: Doctorate or Master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. Faculty teaching graduate courses: Doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. UNC Charlotte prioritizes the highest earned degree in the discipline. Demonstrated competence, effectiveness, and capacity in teaching; professional experience or certifications may be considered as appropriate. Departmental Details
