What You'll Do

The Beverage Manager is responsible for delivering a positive guest experience, ensuring clean facilities, maintaining a professional environment for all employees, and the following:

Add positive energy to daily restaurant operations.

Assist in hiring for front-of-house, including first-round interviews.

Understand and manage costs, including receiving, invoicing, inventories, and daily spending.

Understand and manage labor, OT, and break penalties.

Assist in FOH scheduling.

Know the financial aspects of the restaurant (PCL, Petty Cash, Inventory documents, Inventory Reporting).

Communicate challenges daily with appropriate supervisors and problem-solve together.

Ensure hospitable guest experiences and maintain high guest satisfaction.

Build relationships with guests through interactions at the front door, table visits, wine shop, and via email or phone.

Cover customer service duties (reservations, club, large-format orders).

Maintain restaurant cleanliness with interior cleaning projects, linen and chemical usage, and weekly maintenance of facilities.

Inventory management (silverware, china, glassware).

Beverage Specific Responsibilities

Complete weekly beverage inventory and enter invoices into inventory and PCL.

Work a mix of day and night shifts; collaborate with the wine program leadership.

Cultivate relationships with reps during tastings and train on ordering, organizing, and unpacking wine deliveries.

Oversee shop cleanliness, restocking, and barista station; update BTG wines and Toast for dine-in and retail weekly.

Staffing: hiring, training, and scheduling sommeliers and junior sommeliers; forecast schedule 30 days out.

Drive sales for dine-in and retail; lead FOH & sommelier education; manage 86’d wines and BTG forecast.

Manage beverage orders and oversee coffee program and barista area.

Other duties as assigned.

FLSA Status: Exempt
