What You'll Do
Lead the preparation of quarterly tax provision workpapers and serve as the central figure liaising with various business units and departments, ensuring a cohesive provision process. Oversee the management of incoming and outgoing tax payments, including routine estimated income tax payments and tax forecasting, across multiple jurisdictions. Act as the primary contact for tax authorities, adeptly managing inquiries, abatement requests, and compliance communications. Manage essential reporting duties, including but not limited to the preparation of 1099 forms, W-8/W-9, annual FBAR and Unclaimed Property reports. Facilitate information requests and documentation for external tax preparers, covering federal, state, and international returns. Provide critical support for mergers and acquisitions activities through diligent document management and technical research. What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field Demonstrated proficiency in corporate tax compliance and ability to articulate complex tax concepts and strategies to both peers and senior management. This hybrid role requires periodic presence at our Salem, NH headquarters, catering to the dynamic needs of tax cycles and provision periods. This will require the individual to work in the office 2 or 3 days each week and for a few select weeks out of the year during quarterly provision deadlines. As such, the ideal candidate should have the ability to commute to our headquarters in Salem, NH. What We Value
1-2 years' experience with Big 4 preferred CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
