Job Summary The Network Engineer III researches, develops, tests, analyzes and documents WAN and LAN infrastructure. In addition, the Network Engineer III will perform routine operational tasks, maintenance, project work, installation duties, support duties and provides guidance, mentoring, training, and participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off‑hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment.
Essential Functions
Researches, develops, tests, analyzes, and documents WAN and LAN infrastructure, switch, route, DHCP, DNS, NTP, and wireless networks. Performs network maintenance, management, baseline, planning, patches, and updates. Designs system configuration, direct system installation, designing, documentation, implementation of system standards and solutions to improve the resilience and functionality of our system environment and performance. Maximizes network performance and minimizes downtime through active system monitoring, troubleshooting and analysis of network outages, incidents, scheduling upgrades, routine maintenance, consulting, and collaborating with network architects and developers to optimize the network. Performs data network fault investigations, secures the system network by establishing and enforcing policies, and monitoring system traffic. Supports and administers firewall environments to secure network traffic and minimize risk.
Uses communication skills to listen to, identify & address customer needs while building a relationship and rapport with customers. Builds positive working relationships with team members, managers & all departments. Prioritizes and responds promptly based on severity levels to needs of the customer. Proactively or timely recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline. - Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years’ work related experience Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline - Required
Experience
6 years designing, planning, deploying, documenting, maintenance & diagnosing of switch, route, DHCP, DNS, NTP, Wireless, NGFW, ADC, WAN, IP Voice & Video, & Copper/Fiber Cabling. Q&A and lab exercise may be required to verify skill set. - Required
8 years network design, implementation & management and healthcare. Developing large-scale, distributed, semantically interoperable systems, network architecture modeling techniques meeting development specifications. Design & development in interfaces and interoperability solutions for mixed network environments (virtual networks, Linux / Windows & integration techniques). - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Citrix CCA, CCP, or CCE. F5 CA, CTS, CSE, CADE, or CADA - Preferred
FLUKE XG, VSS, TruView, CSA, AirMagnet. - Preferred
Infoblox CINA, CICA, CICE, or CIST - Preferred
