Assistant Kitchen Manager – Pura Vida Miami
Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr – $65,000.00/yr We are a lifestyle brand that offers simple, wholesome food and beverage items. We are looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager who is a hard‑working team player eager to grow and learn. Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen personnel and communicate performance expectations. Observe employee performance and provide coaching. Assist in recruitment, selection, promotion, development, and discipline. Help develop and implement action plans to improve operating results and personnel development. Collaborate to streamline kitchen operations and manage food costs. Provide product feedback and recommend menu additions. Ensure new menu additions align with quality standards. Implement and manage kitchen policies and procedures. Facilitate training sessions on prep work techniques and presentation standards. Model company vision, values, and teamwork. Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations. Ensure policies, procedures, and customer satisfaction guidelines are followed. Demonstrate proficiency in all kitchen positions. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a food production facility, fast‑paced restaurant, or full dining service. Food handler certification (applicant’s expense). Organized and detail-oriented. Experience training and developing kitchen staff. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Flexible to work closing shifts and weekends. Ability to work in a stressful, fast‑paced environment. Certification from culinary school or degree in restaurant management is a plus. Comfortable using a computer and point‑of‑sale software. Ability to bend, reach overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Benefits
