Role Description
We’re looking for our first
Sales Development Representative / Leading Salesperson
to take our inbound and outbound leads to the next level. You’ll be the front line of My Marketing Pro’s growth — building conversations, booking meetings, and converting demos into customers.
This isn’t a “dial for dollars” job. It’s a high-ownership, fast-paced sales role where you’ll partner directly with leadership (CEO, Director of Operations, Head of Sales & Marketing) to shape our sales playbook and scale revenue. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a rocketship at the ground floor — this is your shot.
What You’ll Do
Own the top of the funnel: follow up with inbound leads, build outbound prospecting lists, and generate qualified opportunities.
Book and complete meetings with prospects (video calls, phone, or in-person strategy sessions).
Run consultative discovery calls to uncover SMB and mid-market pain points.
Present demos of the My Marketing Pro platform and show prospects the “before and after” impact.
Collaborate with leadership to refine sales scripts, outreach cadences, and playbooks.
Track activity and pipeline in our CRM with clean, disciplined reporting.
Hit — and aim to exceed — weekly/monthly metrics on meetings, opportunities, and closed deals.
Internally, be the voice of the customer : share feedback, objections, and insights that inform product and marketing.
Qualifications
Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or SaaS lead generation , ideally within marketing, advertising, or tech.
Deep understanding of the sales funnel
— from prospecting and lead nurturing to demo and close.
Consultative selling expertise
— able to uncover SMB and mid-market pain points and translate them into clear value propositions.
Confidence delivering live or virtual platform demos
that highlight product impact and ROI (“before and after” storytelling).
Strong written and verbal communication skills , with an ability to make complex ideas simple, persuasive, and relatable.
Collaborative mindset , comfortable partnering directly with leadership (CEO, Head of Sales, Marketing) to shape strategy, scripts, and outreach playbooks.
Highly organized and data-driven , with a disciplined approach to CRM management, tracking activity, and reporting performance metrics.
Goal-oriented and self-motivated , thriving in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment where no two days are the same.
Customer-focused mindset , actively listening and sharing feedback to inform product, marketing, and sales direction.
Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field , or equivalent hands‑on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth startup , especially one offering marketing or AI-powered SaaS solutions.
Knowledge of AI, automation, and digital advertising tools
— curiosity about the evolving intersection of tech and marketing.
Familiarity with outbound sales systems
(HubSpot, Apollo, SalesLoft, Outreach, etc.) and lead scoring models.
Demonstrated success exceeding
demos booked, conversion rates, and revenue contribution KPIs.
Understanding of SMB and mid-market buying behavior , including decision-making cycles and common marketing challenges.
Creative problem solver
who can adapt sales tactics to shifting markets, customer personas, or product innovations.
Storyteller with business acumen
— able to articulate MyMarketingPro’s mission and show how functional AI helps real businesses grow.
Excitement for startup culture and innovation , eager to help shape the sales playbook and grow with the company long-term.
