This role description outlines the responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for the Senior Foreman - Water/Wastewater Plant (GC) at Shook Construction. Responsibilities

Promote job site safety; develop and implement safe work practices. Perform daily safety and quality audits and inspections. Develop crew members through on-site training and exposure to new tasks. Lead crews through Pre-Task Plans. Perform layout of new construction. Complete timesheets for Shook personnel and daily logs for subcontractors. Provide leadership and supervise crews. Quantify materials needed for tasks (e.g., forms, pipes, nuts, bolts). Delegate tasks to crew members and hold them accountable. Understand labor budgets and productivity to meet scheduled activities. Participate in the Collaborative Project Delivery (CPD) process; analyze project labor dashboards. Record quantities daily and monitor the schedule to maintain deadlines. Manage crew production to complete tasks within budget. Organize materials, tools, and equipment. Willing to work overtime and out of town as needed. Participate in pre-work meetings and perform first work inspections. Identify and communicate quality issues and solutions to the project team. The position reports to the Superintendent. This position indirectly reports to the Regional Field Operations Manager and the Director of Field Operations. The position is a mentor for tradespeople and works closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Engineer. Competencies

Ability to communicate technical information and develop solutions. Demonstrates teamwork and leads the crew effectively. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; expected to be a role model. Proficient in personnel development and recruiting field personnel. Keeps up with current technology (surveying, tablets, smartphones, etc.). Level of Responsibility

Performs duties efficiently on projects of varying size. Proven experience as a construction foreman. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, safety requirements, equipment, and labor productivity. Excellent organizational and leadership skills; strong problem-solving and communication abilities. Proven development of tradespeople. Qualifications

Education and Experience On-site self-perform experience required. Formal apprenticeship training or equivalent experience preferred. Journeyman improvement classes or equivalent experiences preferred. Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write daily task planners and safety plans. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate and understand the requirements of various project types and to work with different personality types. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret measurements, rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to read and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills:

Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Viewpoint software, smartphones, tablets, and total stations. Must be able to read and understand project drawings and specifications. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; motor vehicle report required. OSHA 10 hours required; OSHA 30 hours preferred. Physical Demands:

Heavy or high physical exertion; high manual dexterity or physical manipulation; endurance for long periods; ability to travel, work in various environments, and comply with safety policies. Work Environment:

The work environment is usually loud. Requirements
