GARNI - Assistant Restaurant Manager role at Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Floor leader position that assists in the daily operations of the Restaurant, Bar Service, Pool, and In Room Dining to ensure optimum performance, exceptional guest service, and maximum profitability. You will train and motivate staff to provide amazing guest experiences. Maintain fine dining service standards, assist servers and hosts on the floor during service, and supervise restaurants where applicable. Ensure guest and team member satisfaction while assisting on the floor. Monitor team member performance and provide feedback based on service observations. Train team members to follow restaurant procedures and the sequence of service. Supervise restaurant and related areas in the absence of the General Manager. Participate in department meetings with clear communication of goals to achieve results. Ensure team members have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms. Communicate issues regarding food quality and service levels to the Chef and Managers. Assist in ensuring compliance with restaurant policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws. Perform duties of restaurant team members and related departments as necessary. Open and close the restaurant and bar, ensuring side-work is completed properly. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Encourage team members to provide excellent customer service and align with Wave Service standards. Handle guest problems and complaints, escalating to a supervisor as needed. Conduct inventories to maintain par levels. Complete end-of-day cashouts accurately and distribute end-of-day reports via e-mail. Show knowledge of the menu and wine list with the ability to offer pairing suggestions. Work with software applications: OpenTable, Micros Symphony, Alice, Microsoft Office. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Food & Beverage industry. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications required. Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred. Minimum of three years supervisory experience in Food & Beverage; 3-5 years of restaurant management experience required; luxury full-service dining or hotel experience preferred. Professional, team-oriented, polite, neat appearance. Excellent communication, highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Certified Professional Food Manager certification. Knowledge of UKG (timekeeping), Micros, OpenTable, Revinate, Alice preferred. Working Environment / Physical Demands
