Overview
Weston & Sampson is seeking a Treatment Engineer Leader on our Wastewater team with 8+ years of experience. This position will be responsible for leading a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to meet client deliverables, working in collaboration with multiple water and wastewater team members across the eastern seaboard. The candidate will be expected to handle multiple assignments, work directly with clients to understand needs and develop project opportunities, and lead study and design project deliverables. The role may include participating in company-sponsored training programs, seminars, and conferences as necessary.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage municipal, commercial, and industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment planning and design projects across SC and NC
Pursue new work opportunities through established client relationships and market sector awareness
Supervise and lead project teams, including:
Development of engineering reports, studies and designs in accordance with recognized DES and industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches
Field evaluation and assessment of existing facilities, including treatment facilities, collection and transmission systems, and pumping stations
Remain flexible in handling multiple assignments, work with clients to understand needs, and advance project planning and design
Collaborate with other design and study teams to better respond to client needs
Supervise, train, and mentor project managers, project engineers, and junior engineering staff
Participate in professional organizations and technical committees
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with preference for a Master’s degree; emphasis on Water & Wastewater treatment preferred
8+ years of related engineering experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in South Carolina, or ability to obtain within six months of hire
Strong working relationships with local clients
Demonstrated leadership experience and successful teamwork
Excellent verbal, written, and public presentation skills
Working proficiency in Microsoft Office
Interpersonal relationship skills, conflict resolution, team leadership, and presentations
High ethical standards, commitment to high-quality deliverables, teamwork, respect, and integrity
Travel is required; must have a valid driver’s license
