Overview
Weston & Sampson is seeking a Treatment Engineer Leader on our Wastewater team with 8+ years of experience. This position will lead a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to meet client deliverables, collaborating with multiple water and wastewater team members across the eastern seaboard. The candidate should be flexible in handling multiple assignments, work directly with clients to understand needs and develop project opportunities, and lead study and design project deliverables. Develop and manage municipal, commercial, and industrial Water & Wastewater treatment, planning and design projects across SC and NC. Pursue new work opportunities through established client relationships and market sector awareness. Supervise and lead project teams in the development of engineering reports, studies and designs, utilizing DES and industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches. Perform field evaluation and assessment of existing facilities, including treatment facilities, collection and transmission systems, and pumping stations. Be flexible in handling multiple assignments, work directly with clients to understand needs and advance project planning and design assignments, and participate in company-sponsored training programs, seminars, and conferences as necessary. Collaborate with other design and study teams to improve responsiveness to client needs. Supervise, train, and mentor project managers, project engineers, and junior engineering staff. Participate in professional organizations and technical committees. What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred. Emphasis on Water & Wastewater treatment preferred. 8+ years of related engineering experience; Professional Engineer registration in South Carolina or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Strong working relationships with local clients. Demonstrated leadership experience and effective teamwork. Exemplary communication skills (verbal, written, and public presentation). Working proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, team leadership, and presentations. High ethical standards, commitment to quality deliverables, teamwork, respect, and integrity. Travel is required; valid driver’s license is required. Additional
