Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits. Prepping assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by the Head Sushi Chef. Measuring and assembling ingredients properly; cutting and portioning meats and fish consistently. Storing and handling raw or prepared foods and supplies properly. Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, surfaces, and the kitchen according to schedules and procedures. Maintaining a safe and sanitary workstation. Handling food in accordance with local health guidelines. Following food handling techniques to minimize waste and expense. Maintaining personal hygiene standards. Adhering to safety regulations and reporting unsafe conditions. Participating in training sessions as assigned. Following uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules. Knowledge and Skills
Minimum 1 year of high-volume sushi restaurant experience. Ability to read and understand English. ServSafe certification is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good auditory and visual skills. Knowledge of company food and beverage standards.
