Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0156) at GameStop. This role supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and helps develop a sales culture through guest-focused service and product knowledge. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and thank guests for shopping. Circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including providing receipts and ensuring high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone, escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards loyalty program. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback; input written feedback for associates in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Assist with scheduling to meet guidelines, manage breaks, supervise staffing for optimal guest service. Approve payroll, manage time off, and verify compensation. Ensure store areas are clean, organized, merchandised per guidelines, and equipment is in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; conduct security checks at closures as needed; report concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock shelves, and organize products to ensure accurate representation on the sales floor. Balance daily transactions, complete closeout paperwork, and manage cash and deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; communicate issues to management. Process defects/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing. Maintain safety awareness; address hazards and report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Genuine, individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication; English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Ability to work independently and in a team; timely task performance. Strong attendance, personal appearance, safety, and respectful workplace standards. Operate POS system; basic math and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow written or verbal instructions. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Ability to manage pressure, solve problems, and maintain guest interactions. Reliability, trustworthiness, and sound judgment. Ability to stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs; mobility to reach and maneuver.
