Pearl Harbor Pay Range: Starting Min: $15.00 + based on experience Job Summary
As a Cashier, you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to our reputation as a customer-focused organization. You will assist customers, help them recognize the need for our products and services, and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive, outgoing nature and a passion for serving others are essential. Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Engage proactively with customers, ask questions, listen to their needs, inform them about merchandise, upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card, and provide premier service. Build positive, respectful relationships, take accountability for actions and outcomes. Organization:
Maintain checkout area appearance, restock bags, packaging materials, and labels. Sales:
Interact with customers to ensure they find everything needed, suggest latest trends and promotions, process transactions using POS systems, handle cash, process discounts, gift cards, credit/debit cards, and maintain accurate cash handling and sales records. Inventory:
Manage merchandise, ensure proper check-in and accurate ticketing, participate in periodic inventories. Dependability:
Follow work schedules accurately, complete work assignments diligently, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Product knowledge and familiarity with POS systems preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages. Ability to multi-task, work as part of a team, and take initiative independently. Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position involves constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two hours. May involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, lifting 25-50 lbs., and working indoors or outdoors depending on location. Vision abilities include close, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Other Skills
Enthusiastic, friendly, energetic, with a desire to provide outstanding service. Availability for varied hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. No experience required; high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
