Overview

Assist in managing the day-to-day activities of hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize hotel profitability. Serve as the General Manager in his/her absence. Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel staff; assist the General Manager in developing and communicating departmental strategies and goals; communicate and enforce policies and procedures. Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources actions in accordance with company rules and policies; alert General Manager of potentially serious issues. Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring financial and operational plans for the hotel that support company objectives; manage hotel operations in areas such as Front Office, Revenue/Reservation, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance to maintain standards and guest satisfaction. Foster positive employee relations and reconcile time edits and payroll administration in compliance with wage and hour regulations. Ensure the guest convenience store (e.g., Convenience Court, Bridgemart) is stocked and maintained; monitor inventory and order replenishments in a timely manner. Monitor and report variances against budget; control labor costs and other expenses. Establish and implement service recovery guidelines to ensure complete guest satisfaction; respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints or concerns. Foster positive owner relationships (if applicable) and provide ongoing information and status reports. Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance assets and brand loyalty. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management. Perform other duties as assigned; serve as Manager on Duty as needed. What We Need from You

Must have the legal right to work in the United States; must reside in the U.S. and be available for in-person interviews when applying. Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent; three years hotel experience with at least two years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous extended-stay experience or experience in a hotel of similar size and complexity preferred. Fluent English required; additional languages preferred. Willingness to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends, to meet guest needs. Preferred Skills/Experience

Bilingual, multi-property experience, and strong housekeeping skills are a plus. Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and training abilities; ability to travel for workshops or conferences as needed. What We Offer

Salary range: The posted salary range is the range we believe in good faith we would pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors such as education, experience, location, and performance. For this posting, the range is $70,000.00 to $82,000.00 annually (CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA, HI, IL, MN, VT, MA locations may have different ranges).
