Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; prioritize guests over tasks and demonstrate that commitment by circulating throughout the store. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Promptly and accurately process guest purchases/return transactions using POS system; handle transactions with correct changes, packaging, receipts, and superior guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards loyalty programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed, ensuring alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates and document performance in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure associates complete onboarding, job training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates to meet scheduling guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain optimum guest service; ensure adherence to opening/closing procedures. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in good working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipment. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform required administrative and operational duties. Perform store inventory counts and restock merchandise; ensure products are represented and organized on the floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; handle banking procedures and cash management. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct inventories; communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/ recalls and stock pulls; ensure proper labeling and packing. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per company guidelines. Assist in maintaining store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies, the Associate Handbook, and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. Retail management experience preferred (6 months+). Retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred (2+ years). Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Genuine, individualized guest assistance during every visit. Clear verbal and written communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations for attendance, safety, and respectful workplace behavior. Operate POS system; basic math and organization skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Ability to work under pressure and adapt; be creative and a problem solver. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to exercise good judgment. Ability to stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs as required. Compensation
