Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile

Grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above and beyond customer experience

Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits

Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions

Demonstrate a passion for products in our store

Attend all Scheels product training and all store meetings

Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor

Assist in all other assigned duties

Ability to perform basic math; compute rate, ratio and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills

Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Help with freight/stocking when needed

Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights as needed

Requirements

Education & Experience: high school diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting: may include sitting, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting up to specified weights; notifies accommodations as needed

Compensation & Schedule Compensation is a combination of hourly plus commission averaging

$19-22 per hour . Schedule requires flexibility between

5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Monday through Friday (daytime hours may be available); 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Average hours per week are ~20, with possible varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
