Nuvance Health Description Summary: Provides quality care and meets customer expectations by utilizing advanced technical skills across multiple modalities such as CT, MRI, IR, and XR. The Technologist routinely covers at least one, two, or three advanced modalities (MRI, CT, IR). Responsibilities Follow ALARA principles, scan patients with appropriate exposure, minimize repeats, and document all images properly. Wear personal radiation badges and utilize shielding per protocols. Monitor CTDI volume to ensure proper dosing. Complete screening before entering Zone 3 of MRI, follow safety protocols, and obtain necessary documentation. Use hearing protection, communicate with patients, monitor SAR levels, and instruct patients on exam procedures and safety measures. Identify patients accurately, review prescriptions, explain procedures, and ensure proper preparation. Perform venipuncture and operate contrast injectors following guidelines. Dispense oral contrast and monitor injections, recognizing issues promptly. Review and perform scans based on protocols, position patients correctly, and cover relevant anatomy with proper parameters. Respect appointment times, communicate delays, and document procedures accurately. Maintain quality control and participate in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. Operate in other modalities such as X-Ray, Stereotactic Biopsy, Bone Density as requested. Keep work areas stocked and clean. Assist with patient care tasks as needed. Requirements: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program, minimum 3 years of CT or MRI experience preferred. ARRT certification in Radiology and advanced certification or pending in MRI or CT. State Radiology License required. CPR preferred. Maintain continuing education credits. Exhibit professionalism, confidence, and courtesy.
