This psychiatry opportunity is based at the community outpatient clinic in Brunswick, GA. The city offers a historic charm with shops, restaurants, and a vibrant seafood industry. The role involves providing psychiatric services to a diverse veteran population, including geriatric and post-deployment combat veterans, addressing issues like homelessness, unemployment, and family support. Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions, including medication management, crisis intervention, and suicide risk assessments. Ensure compliance with applicable standards and policies such as TJC, CARF, HIPAA, VA regulations, and clinical guidelines. Provide diagnostic assessments and psychotherapeutic services, and participate as a team leader or team member in multidisciplinary settings. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, participate in supervision and teaching, and perform on-call duties as assigned. Practice areas may include depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, substance abuse, among others, across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. Benefits and Incentives
