Overview
Employment & Training Case Manager - Minot, ND role at Veterans Inc. The Employment & Training Case Manager reintegrates homeless and at-risk veterans into meaningful employment, addressing the barriers they face. This position will be based in Minot and meet with clients throughout the Minot area. What You'll Be Responsible For Day To Day
Daily functions include job coaching, resume building, job searches, and mock interviews. Performs initial intake and assessments of all veterans for acceptance into Veterans Inc. programs. Assists veterans in developing individual training plans that fit their needs and skills. Tracks and reports case management progress through case notes and conferences with the manager; completes record keeping/documentation for monthly reporting into the agency database; coordinates with all funding sources. Assists veterans with researching and accessing services from public sources or the VA. Conducts outreach to market Veterans Inc. programs and engage new referral sources. Coordinates internal referrals to other Veterans Inc. programs and community-based homeless service providers. Understands the Department of Labor\'s Homeless Veterans\' Reintegration Program (HVRP) and Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) initiatives; understands the VA\'s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) functions and initiatives. Develops and maintains strong relationships with employers, career centers, veterans services agencies, etc., to provide a smooth and timely transition for veterans into the workforce. What You Must Have
Bachelor\'s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field required. Military experience could be substituted for a Bachelor\'s Degree. Minimum of two years\' experience in Employment Training, Vocational Rehabilitation, Recruitment, Counseling, Outreach/and/or Services to the Homeless, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with veteran population preferred. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to pass a background records check. What We Can Offer You
