Job Description:
The Key Account Manager for our Energy team is an outside sales opportunity with assigned accounts across the US territory. This position will cover the energy supplier and wholesaler market selling the entire DTN solution suite to assigned customers. You will also work closely with the existing sales team and build on their experience.
Responsibilities:
Contacting large Refined Fuels Suppliers or Wholesalers to promote DTN’s suite of information services and solutions. Develop and maintain new accounts and existing customer relationships, with a focus on solution upsells to existing clients. Use a consultative sales approach to understand the needs of the energy prospect or customer and demonstrate the value of DTN solutions, insights, and services. Engage in active listening and problem-solving for customers to understand their unmet needs and how DTN solutions may be of benefit and serve those needs. Manage a pipeline of new business and increase spend on existing customers. Identify and communicate sales opportunities through the use of CRM systems. Visit prospective clients and existing customers in the assigned territory, with approximate travel at a 40% rate within the assigned territory. Requirements:
8+ years of sales and territory management experience. Software and Information as a Service sales experience is required. Must be assertive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure. Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem-solving, and solutions selling. Self-starter with a proven track record of delivering sales results. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Ability to design, present, and solution proposals using Microsoft Power Point, and demonstrate products in person or via Web Meeting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple concurrent projects. Knowledge of the energy industry is preferred. What You Can Expect from DTN:
