Engagement Manager, AWS Professional Services

– The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients, bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes. Apply AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework while demonstrating technical credibility across diverse stakeholders, distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements, decomposing complex problems, and making trade-off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide guided offerings to help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through global specialty practices covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries. Responsibilities

Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience in cloud computing Experience in project management of technical programs Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications AWS experience preferred Has at least one active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Has led teams and/or engagements utilizing agile approaches, values and principles as well as Scrum framework Equity and Inclusion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary with knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
