POSITION SUMMARY
Sells products for MATHESON to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, showroom or customer's place of business by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone. Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features. Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of firm's production and delivery schedules. Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts. Work with inside sales and route sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date. Coordinate customer training. Enter new customer data and sales data into computer database. Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigate and resolve customer problems related to welding processes, equipment, and deliveries. Attend trade shows and perform inside sales when needed. Assist with semi-annual inventories and support co-workers and customers with technical welding questions. Assist in collecting outstanding account balances and perform other assigned projects and duties. WORK HOURS
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, full-time, matching customer base requirements. QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. Reasoning Ability
Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions in various formats. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver's License Hazardous materials training and certification Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 2-5+ years of industrial sales experience, preferably in gases, medical gases, propane, or welding supplies. Proven sales and account management skills, profit and loss analysis, and sales presentations experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Mostly sedentary with occasional movement, standing, and reaching. Constant communication and frequent repetitive motions required. TRAVEL
