LCRA is looking for a Operational Technology Administrator to join our team. As a part of LCRA’s Operational Technology Cybersecurity Services team, your expertise will contribute to cyber defense initiatives in an organization that strives to enhance the quality of life of the Texans we serve. You are someone with authoritative knowledge of Information Security principles and can provide hands on support for Cybersecurity activities such as Security Event Forwarding, Antivirus, Vulnerability Scanning, Security Patching, and more. We are a team that thrives on finding innovative ways to defend our organization, improve processes and work collaboratively with our generation customers to maintain the reliability and security of LCRA's power generation facilities. You Will Be Trusted To Protect Operational Technology Systems by performing preventative cybersecurity maintenance and 24/7 on-call support including:
system troubleshooting
backups and recoveries
patch and vulnerability management
anti-virus and end point security
configuration management
cybersecurity architecture
and other cybersecurity services
Travel to multiple LCRA facilities throughout the Texas Hill Country is required up to several times per month.
You Qualify With
Twelve or more years of experience in installation, maintenance and/or monitoring of controls, SCADA, IC, DCS, PLC, RTU, network, security monitoring, and/or Server/Endpoint system administration or relevant experience. A degree(s) in computer science, information technology, electronics, instrumentation, SCADA, engineering technology, cyber security or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver’s license required if traveling to work at various locations.
You Are a Great Fit With
Technology Certification(s) such as ISA, CISM, CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, etc.
Knowledge of cyber security standards such as NIST 800 series, ISA, ANSI, IEEE, NERC CIP, ISO 27000 series, COBIT
Understanding of NERC-CIP standards as they pertain to the utility industry, especially for low impact assets
Experience in the energy or utility sectors
Experience using Service Now, Maximo, or other asset inventory management system
Advanced Excel skills
Advanced Visio skills
Understanding of TCP/IP networking and the uses of switches, firewalls and routers
Understanding of how to analyze firewall rules, recommend changes and document justifications
Knowledge of relational databases
Knowledge of computers, network components, operating systems and software applications related to EMS, GMS, IC or DCS
