Job Description
The Financial Crimes Quality Review Advisor conducts quality review assessments for Northwest Bank's Financial Crimes Department. Quality review assessments are conducted for financial crime related workflows, including but not limited to Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM), Customer Due Diligence/Enhanced Due Diligence (CDD/EDD) sanction screening, investigations, and risk assessments. Other workflows and processes will be assessed as needed to ensure the highest quality of standards are adhered. The Financial Crimes Quality Review Advisor provides reporting to Financial Crimes management, suggests areas for improvement, and moderates guidance and supervision for the individual teams within the Financial Crimes Department regarding adherence to BSA/AML/OFAC/Fraud compliance functions and processes. The Financial Crimes Quality Review Advisor also acts as a subject matter expert within and outside the department, identifying and providing enhanced training and coaching to the Financial Crimes Department personnel and throughout Northwest Bank to improve all functions and processes associated with financial crimes.
Essential Functions
Identify operational gaps and areas for improvement prior to any internal audits or federal examinations and escalating as necessary to department management
Perform periodic quality assurance assessments and provide detailed analysis of the results to financial crimes management
Document all quality review assessments thoroughly, accurately, and with the highest quality
Compile metrics for regular reporting to Financial Crimes management
Develop, evaluate, update, and maintain adherence as needed for the Quality Review Program for Northwest Bank's Financial Crimes Department
Ensure the program fits the company's risk tolerance and is consistent with the overall Financial Crimes compliance program
Provide support and education, as necessary, when financial crime risks exceed Northwest Bank's risk appetite
Work with Financial Crimes personnel to ensure potential issues are addressed, and processes are implemented to remediate
Work closely with all areas of Northwest Bank to assess the policies, procedures, and processes are in place to ensure the Financial Crimes program is comprehensive and appropriate for coverage of risks for Northwest Bank's size and complexity
Ensure processes are developed and implemented for any audit or exam remediation efforts
Assist leaders within Financial Crimes in developing and enhancing existing policies and procedures
Drive the adherence to Northwest Bank's Financial Crimes Department related policies to play a significant role in driving Northwest Bank's culture
Maintain a current awareness of the regulatory environment and emerging financial crimes that may impact Northwest's products/services
Additional Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
Work as part of a team
Work with on-site equipment

Abide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program
Perform work tasks in a safe manner

Education Bachelor's Degree College Degree or Equivalent work experience
Work Experience 8 - 12 years Banking or regulatory experience 5 - 6 years Financial Crimes, AML, BSA, OFAC and Fraud laws and regulations

Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisions
Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written
