Department: Natural Resources Management Office; Organizational Unit: Watershed Capital Projects Position Type: Permanent; Full Time/Part Time: Full Time $3,306.82 to $3,637.50 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings and weekends. Performs professional engineering work planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting, and/or implementing assigned projects for the Natural Resources Management Office. Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with coursework relating to hydrology and hydraulics. Must have experience reading plans, including stormwater terminology, project budgeting and tracking, project oversight, and word processing and spreadsheet calculations. Engineering Intern/Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred. Experience in Interconnected Channel & Pond Routing (ICPR) modeling is preferred. Experience reviewing and performing stormwater nutrient loading calculations for stormwater projects, culvert size calculations, and the use of denitrification for water quality improvement is preferred. Special Requirements:
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within nine (9) months of employment, a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Erosion and Sediment Control Inspectors Certification. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed. Physical Requirements
