LMI is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with technical background to serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters, technical and otherwise involving the security of the information system. Manage, maintain, and administer the hosted systems and solutions networks in Tysons, VA. ** This position is on-site in our Tysons, VA HQ** LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. Verify the implementation LMIs information system security program as delegated by the ISSM. Ensure continuous monitoring strategies and verify corrective actions to the ISSM. Conduct SCAP / STIG Viewer scans for STIG compliance checks. Conduct self-inspections and verify corrective actions to the ISSM. Assist with the development and maintenance documentation for RMF to include SSPs, Security assessment reports, Plans of actions and milestones, Risk assessments, Authorization decision letters, Contingency plans, Configuration management plans, Security configuration checklists, System interconnection agreements. Install, upgrade, maintain and administer infrastructure software and hardware such as Windows Server, VMWare tools, Windows 10 OS, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software (e.g. web-browsers, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).Provide patch management by reviewing, analyzing, testing, and implementing Vendor's proposed changes, upgrades, and patches; performs firmware upgrades.Patch Windows Servers, Windows Operating Systems (OS), Microsoft applications, and images Windows OS workstations using Microsoft SCCM and WSUS. Provide Active Directory (AD) infrastructure server and Group Policy (GPO) administration. Provision and load PKI certificates on servers. Install, upgrade, maintain and administer DISA Automated Security Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) - Tenable Security Center/Nessus Install upgrades, maintains and administer Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker Install, upgrade, maintain and administer Endpoint Security Solutions/Host Based Security System (ESS/HBSS), ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and McAfee Endpoint tools Provide support for Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including Documentation, Vulnerability Scanning, and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Perform software patch installation, other flaw remediation, antivirus updates, and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) activities Ensure LMIs Information Systems (IS) are in compliance with relevant Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Monitors and ensures that backup data and resilience methods are scheduled and functioning appropriately. Troubleshoot application and operating system issues using all available resources (knowledge bases, online resources, etc.) to ensure the timely resolution of issues. Conduct or assist with ongoing security reviews and tests of the IS to periodically verify that security features and operating controls are functional and effective. Accurately logs tickets and tracks/owns assigned incidents. Provides accurate, timely, and professional resolution on all supported issues. Delivers a high level of professionalism and customer service. Brings subject matter expertise in the virtualization operations area. Provides updates to management and project leadership of all ongoing critical issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree Must hold a current and active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance Must hold current Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II approved certification Ability to get Operating Systems certification within 6 months Ability to get HBSS 201, 301 and 501 certificates within 1 month Have a cybersecurity foundation with working knowledge of cyber technologies, Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Experience in executing tasks associated with working with small teams #LI-SH1 About the company
