Your Key Responsibilities
Provide tax consulting and compliance support for real estate clients across a diverse portfolio.
Deliver up to date tax advice and identify opportunities and risks for clients.
Collaborate in a highly collaborative culture, listening to and sharing information with colleagues.
Supervise and develop junior staff, ensuring they have the skills and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
Identifying opportunities and risks and communicating these to clients.
Learning and researching market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
Building client relationships with knowledge of the real estate, hospitality and construction industries.
Developing clear, intelligent plans to improve clients\' tax activities.
Researching clients\' business operations and tailoring advice to their needs.
Supervising a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they have skills and opportunities to reach their potential.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
CPA required, or be a member of a state bar.
A minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
Professional knowledge in real estate tax technical and transaction skills including partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
Experience managing budgets, people and projects.
A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes.
Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
