Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Valley's mission statement; engage customers with friendly and professional service. Educate customers on Bank products and services; cross-sell products and services. Present a confident and professional demeanor; analyze needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Meet with customers to analyze financial needs and maximize sales opportunities; open new accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs), discuss/sell loan products, and promote online and mobile banking. Meet customer expectations and achieve service quality standards; participate in the sales referral process and assist management in coaching branch staff. Perform transactions, maintain and balance cash box; utilize Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines; assist customers with Coin Machines. Act as Vault Teller ensuring branch cash adequacy; assist in ordering and distributing cash within prescribed limits. Assist in community events (e.g., Habitat for Humanity); participate in CRA initiatives and programs. Report significant matters and unusual customer activity to Manager; maintain knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements. Maintain knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures. Qualifications

Required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to demonstrate products and services to customers. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills (attentiveness, tact, diplomacy). Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve customer issues. Ability to make on-the-spot decisions about customer transactions while considering risk and customer satisfaction. Ability to interpret varied instructions and use Retail Banking knowledge to engage customers in product discussions. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and high level of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient computer skills. Required Experience: High School diploma or GED and minimum 1 year of business services experience in branch banking; knowledge of branch operations or completion of Valley Retail training. Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or related field preferred. Preferred Experience: FIS/IBS (Integrated Banking Solutions) experience preferred.
