RN Traveler Oncology Stepdown Intermediate Care
Join Sentara Health as a Registered Nurse Traveler for a 14‑week temporary weekend night shift contract on the Intermediate Care Oncology Stepdown unit in Norfolk, VA.
Overtime and Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and dynamic care to patients with cancer and other complex conditions. Monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplants, CAR‑T, radioactive iodine, and symptom management.
Location & Shift:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, 525‑bed tertiary care facility, Norfolk, VA. Weekend nights, 14‑week temporary contract.
Compensation:
$70 per hour.
Required Credentials:
Virginia or compact multi‑state RN license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Minimum 2 years recent acute‑care hospital RN experience.
Not required: chemotherapy certification.
Preferred Education:
Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or nursing diploma.
