Part-Time Child Watch Attendant . If you love working with kids and want to make a difference in their lives in a fun and supportive environment, we’d love to meet you! What You’ll Do
As a Child Watch Attendant, you’ll help create a safe, playful, and engaging environment for children while their parents or guardians use our YMCA facilities. Your responsibilities will include: Providing active supervision and engagement with children at all times Ensuring the safety and well-being of each child Leading and supporting creative and age-appropriate activities Playing games, reading, and interacting with children in a nurturing way Assisting with diaper changes and general childcare needs Schedule Options
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM What We’re Looking For
Must be at least 18 years of age Experience working with children (Child Watch or similar setting preferred) CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet local background check and fingerprinting requirements Strong communication skills and ability to interact with families Commitment to YMCA values and diversity, equity, and inclusion Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods Must be able to engage in active play with children Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Visual acuity to maintain full supervision of children Why Join the Y?
