Come join our team as we make a real difference! POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obey all traffic laws; observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Perform daily pre/post trip operation and safety inspections as required of the school bus and related equipment (e.g., brake system, oil levels, coolant, tire pressure, exterior condition). This includes refueling, checking and maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle inside and out (e.g., sweeping, windows, lights, mirrors), and checking for damage to the exterior/interior of the school bus. Complete forms, records, and reports legibly and accurately in a timely manner as required Meet responsibilities of assigned schedule; notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or inability to meet the schedule Ensure safe evacuation of students from bus in emergency situations Maintain control of student passengers to ensure compliance with rules and regulations for safe transport and operation of the bus Report all student incidents to the Athletic Director or designee Transport only authorized students & staff Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Be at least 21 years old with one-year experience driving trucks or commercial vehicles or at least five years of experience as a passenger vehicle driver Possess a valid Washington Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Have current DOT medical certification Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and certification by the State of Washington as an authorized school bus driver, or be able to obtain it Successfully complete school bus driver training, including 40+ hours of classroom and on-road training Hold valid First Aid/CPR certification React quickly and appropriately to visual and/or audible stimuli Have a High School Diploma or GED Possess good communication skills to interact clearly and tactfully with students and adults Maintain confidentiality Be able to lift 50 lbs Complete mandated school-related training annually Support approximately 3.5 trips per week, mainly for junior high and high school athletic events Additional trips for district needs such as field trips or special events as required Maintain flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, depending on schedules WORK HOURS:

20-28 hours per week START DATE:

September 1, 2025 SALARY RANGE:
