Location: Anywhere in Country EY Private Tax is a growing practice within EY. You’ll work with privately held companies and their owners and families, including high-growth private enterprises from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar private companies. This role offers cross-border and cross-functional teaming, with support designed to develop your technical tax knowledge, professional leadership, and business acumen. Your Responsibilities
Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables Building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored service Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients Maintaining your reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring access to necessary tools and opportunities Identifying and addressing risks and opportunities to improve services and processes Skills and Attributes for Success
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience A CPA certification or membership in The Bar Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organizations Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs) Understanding of automated tax processing systems Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus Commitment to continuing learning Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders Willingness to travel as needed; ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment Ideally, You’ll Also Have

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range in all geographic locations in the US is $106,500 to $195,100; in NYC Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) it is $127,700 to $221,700. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and a wide range of paid time off options. Hybrid work model: most client-serving roles are expected to work in-person 40-60% of the time over a project or year.
