As a team member with Lakeview Terrace, you will provide services to our residents that call LVT home. Facility Name and Address:

Lakeview Terrace Retirement Community Purpose: The Executive Chef will aide in the functionality of the Culinary department at Lakeview Terrace as a whole and assist with the efficient flow of operations within budget; and to supports adherence to established protocols, procedures and requirements of Lakeview Terrace residents and staff. Plan, develop and prepare seasonal and cycle menus within department budget with approval of Director of Restaurant Operations and Dietician. Post approved menus in all dining rooms. Assure that meals are served as scheduled, and that these meals are well balanced, served at proper temperatures and plating specification and are visually appealing to residents and guests. Purchase food and supplies from approved vendors and maintain a proper inventory. Place all dietary orders according to food specifications. Ensure that the kitchen and surrounding areas are sanitized and clean in accordance with company standards and health code regulation. Maintain a visually appealing kitchen and storage facility at all times. Develop, schedule, date and post food production, cleaning and duty assignments. Develop work schedules for culinary staff. Submit food production sheets to the Hostess for proper filing at the end of each week. Supervise culinary staff to ensure that protocols and procedures of the facility are maintained and continuously seek to upgrade food preparation, accuracy and plating techniques. Act as the lead in training & development of the culinary team to ensure accurate portion controls, food preparation and culinary technique. Coach and counsel Team Members as necessary. Develop and maintain standardized recipes, guides and manuals in accordance with menus. Ensure culinary team adheres to these recipes and completes them with accuracy. Effectively coach and mentor Team Members; proactively support Team Member involvement and development. Counsel Team Members on performance standards. Develop and maintain special event menus as requested by the Director of Restaurant Operations. Act as the liaison between the culinary team and the residents and guests. Required Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts required. Five years Culinary Experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Culinary Arts preferred. Seven years Culinary Experience preferred.
