The mission of the Charles George VA Medical Center and clinics is to make a positive difference in the lives of the Veterans we serve by providing compassionate, comprehensive, and quality healthcare. Job Description
Current staffing: 1 ENT Section Chief, 2 MD’s, 1.5 PA’s, 2 dedicated nursing support staff.
This position will report to the Section Chief of Neurology.
Outpatient clinic. Inpatient rounding. (119-bed acute care facility) Non-Supervisory.
Highlights of this position include:
Daily schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30pm. Night and weekend calls are distributed on an equitable basis with other staff. 1:3 call coverage (1 call night every 3 nights on average, up to 11 call nights per month).
Additional requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible. Research opportunities.

Pay Flexibilities Regular market pay reviews, sign-on bonus, up to $15,000 in Annual Performance bonus. Malpractice Insurance VA physicians are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act - 28 U.S.C. 1346 and 28 U.S.C 2671. Medical personnel have statutory immunity from “individual” malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment; a VA physician cannot be sued in civil court for a malpractice (tort) claim.
