Assistant Manager - Truck Service at TravelCenters of America. TA Truck Service operates across the country with a network of locations and a strong focus on customer service, maintenance and safety for heavy duty trucks and trailers. Our Truck Service team includes thousands of technicians nationwide. The Truck Service Assistant General Manager provides vital support to the General Manager in leading the marketing and operations functions of the Truck Service department. This role supports technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner, with the goal of returning every traveler to the road better than they came. Responsibilities

Be a leader and inspire your team to meet and exceed company performance standards and improve the Truck Service department (e.g., fast and friendly customer service, strong product knowledge, upbeat atmosphere). Develop a trusting atmosphere that encourages feedback from team members and guests; coach and performance manage staff according to company policy. Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members according to company guidelines; foster a culture where team members feel respected and recognized for achievements. Lead technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. Conduct visual inspections to ensure all products and services are available. Help achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes, including focus on revenue and profit components. Adhere to safety standards and follow company guidelines on vendor relationships. Qualifications

A leader who sets the example when working alongside team members Interest and potential to grow a career within the Truck Service division High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred Supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related business activity preferred Knowledge and understanding of the Truck Service business preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with other managers Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays A valid driver’s license Benefits

Pay Range: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year. A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
