Manages, implements and oversees all education programs including the residency and sub-specialty fellowship training programs in the Department of Pathology. Serves as the liaison to faculty and organizations regarding the Department of Pathology's education programs. Develops, establishes, implements, and enforces policies and procedures related to the programs. Collaborates with Department leadership to ensure compliance of residency and fellowship programs with ACGME and the OSU GME office; oversees required changes to programs. Plans, conducts, and oversees program evaluations, internal and external reviews, and reporting for accreditation purposes. Oversees contracting and credentialing for incoming residents and fellows; coordinates interview and orientation activities; collaborates with the recruitment team to identify qualified candidates for interviews. In partnership with the Department Finance Manager, develops and manages annual program budgets; administers approved budgets and monitors expenses related to programs recruitment and activities. Plans, develops, and implements new, novel, and innovative education initiatives to positively impact and grow programs. Serves as liaison to student inquiries about applications and program requirements; analyzes and summarizes data for fellowship candidate evaluations. Partners with Department leadership to create new fellowships to meet evolving needs in academic healthcare. Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates support staff and student workers. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 6 years of relevant experience required; 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience in program planning and administration; knowledge of medical education and fellowship training program requirements and guidelines. Experience in organization of program materials; computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Additional Information
