Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our mission in a newly created position and a tenure-track faculty appointment. The successful candidate will be an externally funded researcher with a track record of administrative and leadership success. Leadership and Responsibilities

Serve as the Assistant Director for Research for the IUSM-Bloomington campus of the Indiana University Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center (IUSCCC). Serve as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Cell and Molecular Cancer Biology (CMCB) PhD program. Administrative/Operational responsibilities associated with this leadership position are anticipated to constitute approximately 20% of the workload. Report directly to the Associate Dean, IUSM-Bloomington. Areas of Research

Areas of research interest include molecular mechanisms of cancer and/or therapeutic development, including but not limited to tumor microenvironment, regulation of gene expression within various cancer models (such as glioblastoma, breast, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic, and colon), cancer stem cells, cancer epigenetics and cancer bioinformatics. The candidate will benefit from renovated laboratory space with core facilities as part of the IU Bloomington campus and the Indiana CTSI (e.g., genomics, microscopy/imaging, major animal facilities, chemical biology, others), and access to a large cancer tissue and data bank of the IUSCCC.
