Inside Sales

Posted Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 6:00 AM | Expired Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 6:59 AM POSITION SUMMARY: This individual is responsible for assisting “Distribution” and “Inside Sales” product selection based on specifications or on specialty applications. This will include generating quotations and working with engineering on special applications for specific quotes or projects. Customer communication interface on all levels is involved. This position works closely with Operations, Engineering and Sales personnel to ensure correct and timely processing of all customer requests, including quotation, order processing, shipping, returns, etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Phone & email inquiries for quotations and orders. Recommends product offerings that match specifications and looks for solutions where we might take exceptions. Works closely with engineering, purchasing and/or suppliers on special applications and requests. Handles phone inquiries for quotations and products. Advises current pricing, discounts and delivery information based on customer inquiries. Offers alternate solutions to customers depending on application and product availability or where deviation from project specifications is required. Expedites existing sales orders and communicates with customers. Advises Management & territory salesmen of unique, large, or difficult opportunities and quotations. EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET/TRAINING: 2-5 + years of related work experience. Intermediate training and experience in ERP systems. Good oral and written communication skills. Meet annual training requirements per A-T Controls ISO 9001:2015 quality program. Working knowledge of the ball valve and actuator industry.
