Overview
The College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) is the first of its kind in the nation; uniting people, technology and knowledge to address the challenges of the 21st century. ETEC is the $180M research, instructional and entrepreneurial complex in which CEHC resides, providing our faculty state of the art laboratory and teaching spaces. CEHC seeks applicants in the Information Sciences & Technology Department (IST) for a Lecturer in Library and Information Services. The candidate will teach courses across core areas of information science, including but not limited to organizational leadership, research strategies, information environments, and public policy. The candidate will provide service to the IST Department, College, and University and may also facilitate graduate/undergraduate interdisciplinary research projects; and help lead co-curricular activities. Applicants must provide evidence of library and information science in their existing teaching program, with a focus on topics such as those above, and/or closely related subjects. Applicants must have experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in library and information science, in varying modalities (in-person, online, and/or hybrid) and address their plan to contribute to the MSIS and Informatics LIS curriculum.
