EHS Coordinator

Emotiv Mobility Responsibilities: Ensure all EHS recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met. Coordinate and facilitate meetings of the Joint EHS Committee. Participate in ergonomic assessments and recommend improvements. Facilitate the resolution and timely response to EHS action plans. Administer Workers’ Compensation program. Maintain written programs and procedures in accordance with ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, and corporate EHS and ergonomics requirements. Serve as the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Representative. Administer and coordinate all environmental related items and permits as required to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate inspections with corporate, federal, state, and local agencies when necessary. Provide input in the development stages of current as well as pending processes entering into the facility. Train employees on all necessary EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Coordinate all hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage, handling, and disposal. Provide statistics for continual improvement in the workplace in regards to EHS. Ensure external and internal complaints related to EHS are recorded appropriately and reported to management. Coordinate emergency response procedures, training, and practice drills. Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and job hazard analysis for continual improvement and to reduce workplace incidents and injuries. Coordinate post incident drug and alcohol screens as necessary. Participate in and conduct environmental compliance and conformance audits. Ensure the proper selection of EHS supplies including PPE. Document all activities as required. Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety. Requirements: A degree in safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene or related degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation. Experience in working with ISO 14001. Knowledge of industrial ergonomics. Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. Knowledge of OSHA (and/or state) standards. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills. Must have proficient computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel required Valid driver’s license required Position may be required to travel to locations in the US and Canada, passport or enhanced license will be required
